Bike Pedal Extenders alleviate pain and inefficiency by allowing you to achieve your natural stance width on the bike. Available for both pedal wrench flat and hex key pedal styles, and as a pair.
Why bike pedal extenders? Are your feet far enough apart when you ride? Do you experience knee or hip pain while riding?
As a cyclist, bike shop, or bike fitter you can change pedals but this all too often does not significantly impact the distance of the feet from one another. Whether you’re 5 feet tall and 95 pounds, 7 feet tall and 250 pounds, or any height or weight on standard bicycles, your feet are the same width apart.
Cycling stance width is usually determined by your bicycle wheel width, crank width, and/or pedal spindle length (most pedals have the same width). Unfortunately, this does not work for everyone and many times causes pain or limits performance which is why Fit Kit Systems is proud to offer a ride-changing experience with pedal extenders.

Pedal extenders offer a significantly greater increase in stance width (sometimes erroneously referred to as Q factor) than what can be achieved with cleat adjustments or the use of pedal spacers (washers) on the pedal axle.

- Wrench – solid body pedal extenders are intended for use with pedals installed using a 15mm pedal wrench. Common on lower-end road and mountain bike pedals and the original Speedplay pedals. These require an 18mm or an adjustable wrench for removal.
- Hex – hollow body with a 6mm adapter hex collar intended for use with pedals that do not have wrench flats. The Hex collar needs to be inserted in an 8mm recessed end of the pedal spindle before installation. For use with all pedals without wrench flats machined on the axle or any pedals that require a hex or Allen wrench for installation. This includes most modern road, gravel, and mountain bike pedals including higher-end Shimano models, Look, Time, Assioma, Wahoo Speedplay, and Crank Bros. Installation requires the use of a 6mm hex key or wrench. Removal requires both a 6mm hex key and an 18mm or adjustable wrench.
