Once long ago, wool was the material of choice for cycling clothes and other active clothing. In the 80s, synthetics began to replace wool because they were new and shiny and stretchy and you could sublimate flashy, detailed graphics onto them which was a nifty thing for teams and shops. Even while synthetics enjoyed their era of dude-holding-the-bong popularity, however, wool did not die off. It still offered some really great features, like great moisture control and a resistance to putrescent reek. Our jerseys are an excellent example of wool done well. We've tried hard to produce something we hope will become your favorite piece of cycling clothing. Our long sleeve jerseys are made from medium-weight Merino wool. Merino fibers are soft and non-irritating even on sensitive skin. The fabric weight makes them suitable for cool weather to cold weather. They have a high collar to help keep the cold out and the warm in, and feature long body and long sleeves. The sleeves have reinforced thumb holes to help make sure they stay all the way down as you ride. Like our short sleeve jerseys they feature a full length zipper and a reinforced rear pocket with zippered access on both sides.

We named this tire for our friend Nate, who is also quite large and aggressive. This tire has a shred-your-face-off, run-over-anything, kung fu grip knobby tread pattern. The casing is round and supple. Tall, widely-spaced knobs are siped for added grip and compliance. The knobs’ wide spacing means they dig deep and still shed the crap you’re riding through. The tread wraps a little around the sides of the tire, providing good knob contour even on very wide rims, which in turn allows good off-camber traction. Hi, I'm the Surly Lightweight Neck Toob. You might remember me from such films as “It's Cold! Don't Forget Your Neck Toob!" and “Look At This Thing, It Came From a Sheep!" Right now you might be thinking, “But Surly, I already have a Neck Gaiter from you guys. Do I really need a Neck Toob?" And the answer is maybe. Unlike the existing Neck Gaiter, which is made of a light inner layer and a midweight outer layer, I'm made of two lightweight layers. For those days when it's too chilly to leave your face and neck exposed but not cold enough for the full-blown Gaiter, I try to provide a nice, moisture-wicking alternative. We think by now, most of you get what Straggler is. It’s a madly versatile bike that can be used for most types of riding and riding surfaces. Better still is that you now have the option of 650b wheel size. 650b wheels were popular for a long time many years ago on ‘Constructeur’ style bicycles and we all know how real stuff was back in the day…650b wheels strike a nice balance between the benefits of both 26” and 700c sizes. The smaller wheel allows smaller riders to fit well on smaller frames, produces a stronger wheel, makes fitting big-ass tires easier and are more agile than their larger counterparts. Straggler has disc caliper mounts instead of rim brake studs. It’ll accept rotors up to 160mm. The rear dropouts are unique, too. They’re a partially closed horizontal design that accommodates singlespeed or geared drivetrains.
