Boyd Cycling Kanuga FF 27.5 Alloy MTB Boost Wheelset - New Bike Take-Off

This wheelset is a new bike take-off. Customer upgraded to carbon wheels so these are available. They were installed on a bike, with sealant (so a little sealant debris is still visible).

Although the rear hub is 135mm QR, new end caps can be purchased on Boyd's website for $25.

The Kanuga FF represents the next evolution in strength in an alloy mountain bike wheelset. Designed for riders who ride with a full face helmet (the FF stands for Full Face), the Kanuga FF is meant to handle even the harshest of rides.

The Kanuga FF features a 30mm internal width with a massive 37 external width that has a "reverse hook" to improve impact performance. Low rim profile adds to the compliance, while a generous 4mm spoke offset helps to keep the spoke balance evened out. The top of the rim profile features a flat shape to help protect your tires in the event of bottoming them out. Everything about the Kanuga FF is meant for big travel mountain bikes and long term durability.

This handcrafted wheel is laced with Pillar Wing 21 j-bend spokes and brass nipples and features a 4mm spoke offset to ensure better spoke balance. Three cross lacing pattern built to withstand high-torque loads, and the reinforced hookless profile stands up to everything you can send. This wheel spins BOYD Tripel MTB hubs that feature 3.5 degrees of engagement, quick swap freehub body, press-fit end caps and is compatible with Shimano Hyperglide, Shimano Microspline, and Sram XDR cassettes. The Kanuga FF wheelset weighs in at 2140g and is built to send it!
