Road Bikes

We do things differently from the other stores.  The first thing that you may notice when entering our store is that we don't stock very many bikes.  There's a number of reasons why, but mainly because we are mostly a service-oriented shop.  Most shops have a huge showroom and a tiny workshop.  We prefer a larger workshop.  Also, when you look at the number of brands we sell, it would be impossible to stock all the resulting models (482) in all of there colors and sizes. So, we prefer personalizing your new bike to YOU, rather than steering you toward a bike that we happen to have in stock.

You have a month to fall in love with your new bike!

We realize that you want to test ride your new bike, which is why we offer a 30-Day Test Ride.  We work with you to find the perfect bike that meets your wants, needs, fit, style, and budget.  After leaving with your new bike, you'll have 30 days to ride it in the real world -- not merely in a parking lot.  Take your bike home and ride it around the block, or do a century!  We think this is the only way to know truly whether your new bike is perfect for you.  We think this is the only way to know truly whether your new bike is perfect for you.

The BEST Assembly! Ever!

At JRABS, our bicycle assembly process is the most comprehensive in the industry.  I can guarantee you that the the bicycle that you purchase from me will last longer, ride smoother, be more efficient, and cost you less in the long run.  Here's why:

"Grease failure could come at any time. Factory original greases are often of the lowest quality and applied in very limited or erratic quantities. Frames are often inadequately cleaned at the factory, so bottom bracket and headset grease often has been contaminated with abrasive particles even before the bike has been ridden. For these reasons it is difficult to project the normal calendar time or elapsed miles that should occur between bearing overhauls. As a rule of thumb, 2,000-3,000 miles or two to three years of generally fair-weather riding should make a bike ready for an overhaul. The best method to determine whether grease has become due for replacement is inspection." John Barnett, Barnett's Manual DX - This is why, JRABS overhuals EACH bicycle before you ever ride it.  We replace the factory grease with genuine Phil Wood grease.

Bikes are shipped to bike shops in the same manner, no matter the brand.  What the bike shop does from there will make a huge difference in the bike's performance and longevity.  Here are the approximate times to assemble a new adult bicycle:
  • Mass merchant: 15 mins
  • Chain sports store: 20 mins
  • National chain bicycle store: 25mins
  • Local chain bicycle store: 30 mins
  • Independent bicycle shop: 45 mins
  • JRABS: 2-3 hours
We completely disassemble your new bike, check the frame alignment, spoke tension, overhaul the hubs & headset, remove the cranks and bottom bracket to make sure the frame is properly prepped, and then re-assemble it.  Here are some images of our assembly process for a $500 mountain bike.
Wilier Triestina Cento1 Hybrid Ultegra NDR30
$4,799.99 $5,999.99 20% Off
The Cento1 Hybrid was designed to re-imagine the traditional limits of a high-end racing bike: a product that combines the special distinctive traits of Wilier Triestina products with the cutting-edge intelligence of the lightest servo-assistance system on the market. The result is a true racing bike with pedal assistance which weighs just 11,9 kilograms - a record in the e-road category. The first intelligent racing bike created with a specific mission: to give as many people as possible the opportunity to enjoy the emotions that only a high-end racing bicycle can offer. Cento1 Hybrid was designed for you, so whoever you are: get yours! The intelligent solutions installed on the Cento1 Hybrid enable the limits of the person riding the bike to be understood and overcome, assisting the cyclist at just the right moment. There are several options for using and managing the entire system. The simplest of these options is just to use the controller integrated into the top tube, which enables you to turn the system on and off and to select the desired level of assistance, all by pressing the backlit button. Riders looking for greater interaction with the system can download the dedicated EBIKEMOTION app from the AppStore or the PlayStore, which provides access to the system command center. This app opens the door to a whole range of functions, from the simplest (classic cycle computer functions such as display speed, distance, remaining charge level, incline etc.) to the most complex (navigation management and programming of the various outputs, recording data, setting weather forecast alerts, etc.) The intelligence of the Cento1 Hybrid doesn't stop there: the system can also help when you want to monitor other parameters - your heart rate, for example. When paired with a heart rate monitor, a maximum heart rate can be set. If your heart rate reaches the predetermined threshold during activity, the system will engage the motor, enabling your heart rate to return to within the threshold set without having to stop pedaling. One of the most important aspects for us was to achieve a record weight, and we succeeded in creating a racing bike with pedal assistance that weighs less than 12 kg. A lightweight monocoque carbon frame, high-quality mechanical components and an Ebikemotion servo-assistance system, with a total weight (motor, battery and controls) of 3.7 KG, the lightest solution on the market. When designing the Cento1 Hybrid, we focused on those individuals who are discovering the world of racing bikes for the first time, as well as the thousands of passionate cyclists who already use racing bikes, but who struggle to keep up with their friends, or who can no longer conquer their favorite climb. The Cento1 Hybrid is composed of a monocoque carbon frame and fork, built using the same composite materials and with the same technologies that we usually employ on our high-end racing bicycles. The shape and geometry of the Cento1 Hybrid frame is derived from the NDR family of racing-endurance bikes, which a more comfortable riding position, but without giving up the racing spirit. The Cento1 Hybrid is fitted with traditional-type components, such as hydraulic disc brakes, 11-speed Shimano groupset and high-profile aluminium wheels. The only component that differs from the standard equipment provided is the rear hub, which contains the drive unit that provides the pedal assistance. The energy required by the motor is delivered by the battery, which is neatly integrated into the downtube of the frame. The system is controlled (on, off and monitoring) via a button which is integrated into the top tube, enabling the rider to choose from the various assistance modes offered by the Cento1 Hybrid.
Wilier Triestina Cento10 NDR Disc Ultegra Di2 w/ Fulcrum 500
$5,999.99 $7,499.99 20% Off
A racing frame that strikes the perfect balance between performance and comfort. The Cento10NDR will let you spend long hours in the saddle, thanks to its specially designed endurance geometry and the ACTIFLEX system: Wilier's new approach to absorbing rear vibrations generated by bumps in the road surface. The sophisticated design of the steerer tube combined with the special form of the headtube allows us to route up to three cables inside the frame. The three cables enter the steerer tube through the Alabarda or Stemma & Barra. The shifter and brake cables are routed from the levers at exactly the right angle into the steerer tube. If you're using electronic gears and disc brakes, the bike will not have any exposed cables, giving the Cento10NDR a beautifully clean look. The road bike market is evolving. New users are coming to the world of high-performance bikes with a variety of goals other than purely racing. They want more relaxed geometry, the option to fit wider tires and disc brakes, and the ability to cycle long distances without discomfort. Essentially, they want the perfect blend of responsiveness, performance, light-weight, ride quality and comfort. With the Cento10NDR, we have brought together all these aspects that until now belonged to completely different visions and experiences of cycling. Developing the ACTIFLEX project since 2014, we have woven our traditional racing DNA into the endurance world. Frame geometry is key when it comes to endurance bikes. To offer Cento10NDR riders the maximum level of racing comfort, the proportions between the frame tubes needed to be reconsidered. The final result is a position that is slightly shorter and taller than in traditional racing geometries, thanks to a shorter reach and a taller stack. This reach and stack combination gives a more comfortable position without using any spacers between the stem and the frame. How often do we see cyclists with pure racing bikes and several centimeters of spacers under the stem? Now with the Cento10NDR the overall look of the bike will be clean and balanced, while at the same time race-ready. Cento10NDR is a race-ready frame similar to the Cento10PRO, our high-end, light, and aerodynamic racing model. As with the Cento10PRO, Cento10NDR was developed according to NACA Low-Speed rules' aeronautical algorithms that allow us to design the frame tubes with the highest possible aerodynamic efficiency. Alongside the NACA algorithms, Wilier uses another important concept in aerodynamics: the Kamm theory. Indeed, all profiles are designed with a Kamm tail, reducing weight and increasing stiffness without negatively affecting the aerodynamic efficiency of the tube itself. Cento10NDR was the first road bike whose frame and fork could be mounted with either type of brakes: flat mount 160 mm rotor disc brakes with thru-axles or traditional direct mount rim brakes with quick release. This solution expands the available configurations of the Cento10NDR, meaning the frame is always ready for an upgrade. The fork and rear triangle have been designed to accommodate a wide range of tires: up to 28 mm with the rim brakes or up to 30 mm with disc brakes. ACTIFLEX is the heart of the Cento10NDR frame, a new way to connect the seatpost and seatstays. Using a carefully designed aluminum link and a technopolymer dissipater, they have given the rear wheel a few millimeters of travel. The torsional stiffness of the aluminum link remains comparable to traditional monocoque carbon seatstays, despite the ACTIFLEX. This stiffness gives the frame racing performance, while at the same time allowing the rear wheel to move up and down over bumps caused by imperfections in the road surface. Connected to the aluminum link is a dissipater that stabilizes the kinematic movement of the rear triangle. This special technopolymer has amazing physical properties, high atmospheric resistance, and can function in temperatures from -40°F to 302°F. The dissipater is made in three different colors to distinguish the different levels of density, meaning that ACTIFLEX can be fine tuned according to the weight of the rider and/or the type of terrain they typically encounter on their bike.
Wilier Triestina Cento1Air Disc Frameset
$2,079.99 $2,599.99 20% Off
Cento1AIR, Wilier’s historic best seller, has evolved into its most modern and high-performance version yet. Now also available with disc brakes, Cento1AIR is ready to meet the needs of cyclists who love speed and perfect control. Cento1AIR can be equipped with a direct mount rim brake and quick release wheels, or with disc brakes, through-axle wheels and 160 mm rotors on the front and 140 mm on the rear. The fork and triangle construction has been revised to optimize the forces generated by disc braking. We have not changed the wheel clearance and compatibility of tires up to 25mm for a pure road riding feeling. Cento1AIR also gets a new aesthetic. Not only technological improvements and construction, but also a new minimalist and modern livery, but always with the unmistakable Wilier style. The seatpost clamp is a perfect fit with the frame’s aerodynamic lines. The locking mechanism is a combined system of two mountings that operate simultaneously: the first is an internal expander that locks the seatpost onto the frame, while the second is a clamp that locks only the seatpost to prevent it from sliding inside the seat tube. Wilier Triestina Cento1NDR Disc Ultegra RS170
$3,359.20 $4,199.00 20% Off
Cento1NDR is the new member of the NDR family, adding a mid-range price point endurance road model to Wilier's collection. It comes from the same mold as the highly successful Cento10NDR, and it not only shares the same geometry and tube shapes, but even has the same high modulus carbon fiber composition and the same dual brake compatibility. The main difference is the lack of the Actiflex system, and lack of internal cable routing of Cento10NDR. Nevertheless, the Cento1NDR represents an exciting new value in Wilier's mid-range endurance road bike lineup. The geometries of the frame and the particular construction of the rear chainstays guarantee the cyclist a feeling of racing comfort: pure performance without having to give up comfort. Staying in the saddle for a long time will be much less tiring: the rear triangle was sized and designed for maximum absorption of vertical stress generated by rough road surfaces. The transfer of pedal power is guaranteed to have maximum efficiency thanks to a torsional stiffness comparable to a racing frame. Cento10NDR was the first road bike whose frame and fork could be mounted with either type of brakes: flat mount 160 mm rotor disc brakes with thru-axles or traditional direct mount rim brakes with quick release. Now the Cento1NDR also has this flexibility. This solution expands the available configurations of the Cento1NDR, meaning the frame is always ready for an upgrade. The fork and rear triangle have been designed to accommodate a wide range of tires: up to 28 mm with the rim brakes or up to 30 mm with disc brakes.
Wilier Triestina GTR Team 105
$1,839.20 $2,299.00 20% Off
Whether you race or not, the GTR TEAM is aimed for the rider who needs a bike for multiple uses. Light and responsive for the racer, yet comfortable and versatile for those who enjoy cycling without stress.
Wilier Triestina GTR Team Disc Ultegra RS170
$3,039.99 $3,799.99 20% Off
GTR Team Disc is Wilier's entry level carbon fiber road disc model, updated with new clean paint schemes that make it look almost like their high end Zero.6 and Zero.7 models. GTR Team Disc performs at a high level for a frame at this price point. In fact, with Di2 and high-end wheels, you could probably mistake this bike for a $10,000 machine. But for those who don't have ten grand to spend on a road bike, GTR Team Disc gets you on the road in style and on a Wilier for just under $4,000. GTR Team Disc's 46TON monocoque carbon frame comes in 6 sizes (from XS to XXL) with geometries that allow a high level of comfort, without sacrificing reactivity and performance, which is very close to the one of Wilier's racing bikes. The head tube, with a more open angle, ensures smooth ride quality and stability. The rear triangle was designed to have a more distinct response to vertical stress, absorbing the better part of the vibrations generated by the road's imperfections. GTR Team Disc is compatible with flat mount disc brakes and has clearance allowing for 28 mm tires.
Wilier Triestina Jena GRX 1x11
$2,959.99 $3,699.99 20% Off
Jena is Wilier Triestina's new carbon gravel bike, designed to give you more freedom of choice when you go out for a ride. Jena was designed to satisfy any of your needs, whether it is performance on dirt roads and single track, or adventure, exploration, and bike packing. There are numerous available supports that allow the installation of bottle holders, bags, carriers or mudguards. On the front fork, for example, you can install two bottle holders or one lowrider carrier for bags. The front derailleur tab is removable so you can use a traditional double chainring crankset or a single chainring 1x group, without compromising the clean look of the bike. Jena is a light, reactive, and easy-to-handle bike with racing-comfort geometries, and able to adapt to the multiple uses required of a gravel bike. There are no limits on Jena usability and to the available configurations. The clearance between frame and fork and wheels allows you to use up to 44 mm tires on 700c wheels or 48 mm wide tires (equivalent to 1.95") with 650B MTB wheels. Jena's 60TON monocoque carbon frame comes in 5 sizes (from XS to XL) with geometries that allow a high level of comfort, without sacrificing reactivity and performance, which is very close to the one of Wilier's racing bikes. The head tube, with a more open angle, ensures riding quality and stability also on the most difficult tracks. On the other hand, the rear triangle was designed to have a more distinct response to vertical stress, absorbing thus great part of the vibrations generated by the ground imperfections. Even if aerodynamics have less importance on gravel roads, an aerodynamic downtube was developed for Jena for those times when you ride it on paved roads. This gives it the classic Kamm tail shape of Wilier's aerodynamic frames. Jena is compatible with flat mount disc brakes only. The standard installed rotor has a 160 mm diameter. The thru axles have a 12mm diameter, and are 100mm long in the front and 142mm long in the rear.
Kona Libre CR
$2,799.00
The Libre CR is getting a big upgrade with Shimano's GRX 600 2x11 drivetrain. Shifting is smoother than ever and the wide gear range makes any mountain a mole hill. The Kona Race Light Carbon frame features a ton of mounts for carrying just about anything. Paired with Kona's Verso carbon fork and its 3pack cage mounts, this bike is a seriously lightweight gear-hauler. Whether bikepacking, ripping the local gravel roads, or out on an epic summertime century, the Libre is fast, efficient, and comfortable across any terrain. Kona Carbon Designed to be lightweight and built to demanding standards. Carbon fiber has long been praised for its weight and strength, but rather than chase grams, we place our efforts on the performance that is possible when the right high-modulus fibers are in the right places. Our designers work very closely with our manufacturer to ensure there is no compromise to the desired ride characteristics, durability and – finally – weight stipulations that we expect from our bikes. Integrated Headset Integrated headsets are simple, light, and effective headset systems whereby the bearing race cups are actually part of the head tube, and they are either machined away and left with the head tube, bonded (carbon), or welded in with steel or alloy. Like an internal headset, an integrated headset also reduces stack height, so the height of the stem and bars are more adjustable, giving the rider the best fit possible. Tapered Head Tube More girth at the bottom of the head tube better distributes shock force, prolonging the bearing life of the headset itself and eliminating brake shudder, while providing confident steering performance. The inherent strength of its triangular design also means a stronger steering position and improved balance, giving the rider more control in rough terrain. A zero-stack, tapered head tube also puts strength where the load is going—into the lower headset cup—maximizing bearing durability where it's needed. Tubeless Compatible Rims Tubeless rims allow for tires with more puncture resistance; the ability to run lower tire pressure, which provides better tire grip on the trail; lower rolling resistance; and weight savings over traditional tube and tire systems. 12x142mm Axle 12x142mm, 12x148 and 12x157 rear axle standards provide two major advantages to the Kona rider: the 12mm diameter of the rear axle provides the rear hub and frame with a stiff interface, while the 142/148/157mm outer diameter of the hub allows the wheel to be quickly and properly positioned in the frame before the rear axle is inserted. 650B Wheels 650B wheels and tires have a similar overall diameter to a traditional 700c gravel or commuting tire, but with a smaller diameter rim and a wider, taller tire. The extra air volume in this new generation of urban and mixed-surface tires means they can be run comfortably at lower pressures while still rolling quickly on a variety of surfaces. It's the best of both worlds.
Kona Libre CR DL

Kona Carbon Designed to be lightweight and built to demanding standards. Carbon fiber has long been praised for its weight and strength, but rather than chase grams, we place our efforts on the performance that is possible when the right high-modulus fibers are in the right places. Cinelli Nemo Tig Disc Campagnolo Chorus 12s Red 56cm
$4,799.99 $5,999.99 20% Off
This beautiful machine is built up and ready for you! We can customize it any way you choose. The Nemo TIG is Cinelli’s latest Made in Italy high-performance steel road frame. It looks and rides the way in which the legendary Supercorsa – the world’s longest running production steel frame – might have looked had it been designed for racing today rather than in the 1950s. The first prototypes of this frame were born according to the specifications of a recently retired Italian professional rider working at Cinelli who, seduced by the Columbus tubing being manufactured on the factory floor attached to the Cinelli offices, demanded that Cinelli produce a pure racing steel frame that took full advantage of the latest advances in high tech steel tubing manufacturing. Accordingly the Nemo has been designed for riders used to riding high-end carbon fiber racing frames, unwilling to sacrifice “race feeling”, but looking for something incomparably pleasurable to ride in the way only a steel frame can be. It employs custom-shaped Columbus Spirit triple-butted tubes (the seat stays, for example, are the identical shape of those found on the original 1981 Cinelli Laser road model), with a highly contemporary 44mm mega-oversized downtube, conical CNC’d head tube and Columbus’ latest Futura straight blade monocoque carbon fiber fork. In the spirit of its older cousin, the Supercorsa, the Nemo is available not only made-to-measure, but also in 60 different color options.

Truly at home on the road, it features updated geo and modern component compatibility, along with versatile mounting options that make it ideal for daily commutes and months-long disappearing acts alike. Built from Surly’s proprietary, touring-compliant 'Natch tubesets, updates to the Disc Trucker include a shortened seat tube and slightly sloped top tube for better stand-over clearance, plus an increased stack height for a more relaxed riding position. Shortened chainstays offer improved stiffness and maneuverability around corners, while 12mm thru-axles provide a stiffer feel and greater stability when fully loaded. To ensure the Disc Trucker continues to exceed expectations in terms of compatibility with modern product standards, its dropouts have been redesigned to accommodate flat-mount disc brakes and captured thru-axles. An updated fork incorporates dynamo routing and three-pack mounts for even more mounting options. - 100% Chromoly steel frame and fork; double-butted main triangle and E.D. coating for increased frame life - Braze-ons for fenders, racks, and almost anything else you might want to stick on your bike, plus spare spoke holders for when the road gets rough - Fork blade three-pack mounts for even more mounting options, plus routing for Dynamo hubs - Redesigned front and rear dropouts to accommodate captured 12mm thru-axles and flat-mount disc brakes - Clearance for 26 x 2.1" tires with or without fenders
Surly Disc Trucker Frameset
$575.00
Surly's Long Haul Trucker enjoys a reputation as one of the best riding and most value-packed touring bikes out there. It's been around long enough to be tested in the real world, in all kinds of places, with all kinds of loads on all kinds of roads. Sometimes, however, a combination of load, climate and terrain demands a bit more braking performance than a standard rim-brake LHT can provide. That's where the Disc Trucker comes in. Disc Trucker is a Long Haul Trucker specifically designed for the unique forces discs impose. Surly made sure it can run discs, racks, and fenders with no jury rigging, a somewhat unique feature they've just now decided to call Simulpatibility. You'll need to outfit it with the extras you want, like fenders and racks. Surly doesn't include that stuff because everybody's needs are different. From the casual commuter to the person who rides around the world more than once, the Disc Trucker is more than capable. It's a tool designed from the ground up to take you and a bunch of stuff just about anywhere you'd like to go. It is a tool to help you get lost and find yourself.
Surly ECR 29+
$1,900.00
The ECR is Surly's answer to those times when you just need to escape to the woods for a while to get away from the humdrum of life. Those familiar with this steel mule know it’s designed around plus tires, previously of the 29” variety. A fully loaded 29+ bike is an excellent way to explore and get away for a while… if you’re of a certain stature that is. For smaller riders, it poses several challenges though. And no one wants new problems when they’re in the woods trying to escape old ones. To solve this, Surly redesigned the smaller sizes of the ECR to work with 27.5+ while the larger sizes are still equipped with 29+. All you medium specimens out there get your pick of the litter as Surly is offering that size in both options. Other updates to the ECR include and are limited to: Gnot-Boost rear spacing and a killer new beige paint job. It retains the abundant accessory mounts that we all know and love like Surly Trip Guide for brakes and derailleurs, fender, rack, and Bill/Ted eyelets, and a Rohloff torque arm slot. The 29+ sizes have two water bottle mounts and one set of Three-Pack bosses. You’ve got lots of options to bring all your “necessities” with you and still have room for excess baggage if you’ve got it.
Surly Pack Rat
$1,475.00
Over the years, Surly has been finding new and better ways to haul stuff on the front of their bikes - from fork braze-ons to racks to bags. The Pack Rat is the culmination of all those years and is specifically designed around porteur-style racks and front-loading optimization. Why would someone want to strap a bunch of crap to the front of their bike? Glad you asked. Having your stuff in front of you means it's close at hand and easily accessible. It also allows for better weight distribution. We've all ridden with a pannier full of groceries. Some of us have wiped out around a sketchy corner and watched as our precious eggs and bananas go flying every which way in an act of Mario Kart-level carnage. A front load keeps the bike nimble and allows you to more efficiently use your body to steer from the rear and avoid such a super market massacre. The drawback with front-loading on a lot of bikes, however, lies in how it affects the bike's handling. The weight pulls you through turns in an awkward sort of way as if the load is doing the steering and you don't even have control over your own life anymore. It makes for an overall less enjoyable ride. The Pack Rat's front cargo-specific design eliminates that steering issues but also rides great without cargo. There's no need to load it down with cans of beans every time you want to go for a ride. Unless that's your thing. We're not here to tell you how to live. In an effort to jumpstart your front cargo carrying dreams, Surly includes a 24-pack rack on the complete bike version. The Pack Rat rolls on 26-inch wheels in the smaller sizes and 650b wheels in the larger ones. Smaller diameter wheels keep the weight of the load lower than a 700c wheel would, thereby improving handling and ride feel. Pack Rat's fork also includes some handy internal routing for generator hubs so you can safely ride off into the night. Dedicated commuters, credit card tourers, those who enjoy the occasional sub-24 campout, and sweaty back people looking to leave their backpack behind need look no further than the Pack Rat. - 26-inch Wheel Size has room for tires up to 26 x 2.0, 650B Wheel Size has room for tire up to 650b x 48mm - Surly 24-pack rack included with complete bike - 100% Surly 4130 Chromoly frame, main triangle is double-butted; 1-1/8-inch threadless brazed Chromoly fork - Bosses front and rear for cantilever or linear-pull brakes, rack and fender eyelets at the dropouts, eyelets at the crown, and fully threaded through-blade fork eyelets for a front rack - Semi-horizontal dropouts with a derailleur hanger for geared or singlespeed drivetrains and/or wheelbase adjustability

Surly Troll
$1,749.00 - $1,750.00
Off-road touring can be a zesty enterprise, but it’s not without its perils. Bicycles are simple machines that are extremely efficient, but all simple machines carry along with them the chance of breaking down. This efficiency can get you in trouble if your bike decides to break down far away from the comforts of your parent’s basement. If you’re going to ride your bicycles where no one can see, you better take gear that’s up to the task. Troll is up to the task. Surly's Troll was once a simple mountain bike frame with a few extras that made it nice for touring. The Troll has evolved into a frame that has been pushed deeper into the category of off-road touring. Its geometry is no longer suspension corrected, which gives it more room for a larger frame bag. The Troll is a bike that has one purpose – and that purpose is to carry you as far away from society as possible.
